Meet Our Team
Renée Burwell, LCSW, CST is a skilled psychotherapist and facilitator with a specialization in sex therapy and education. Her practice, Pandora's Awakening, offers services and educational outreach to help destigmatize and provide access to mental and sexual health services to help individuals live unapologetically authentic lives. In addition to her practice, Renée is AASECT’s Mid-Continent Representative, a member of Association of Black Sexologist and Clinicians and the Women of Color Sexual Health Network, and is a writer and educator for Bedroom Kandi.
Caitlin is a Senior Director and President’s Club Member for Pure Romance. She is passionate about helping women understand their bodies, feel confident and comfortable in their own skin and embrace and own their pleasure. She helps women see value in self care through education, laughter and fun. She wants people to feel comfortable and normalize conversations about sexual health education.
Emi is an AASECT certified sexuality educator and has been a sexuality educator for 20 years. Through her practice Talk and Thrive Education, LLC she facilitates workshops and coaching for parents on parent-child communication about sexuality and positive discipline. She also provides training and consultation for schools and organizations on sexuality education and sexual health.
Akua Forkuo-Sekyere, MPH
Akua is a public health professional who has experience working in maternal health, sexual violence, and with non-profit organizations. She is passionate about further understanding the systematic barriers of resources to individuals and communities who have experienced forms of trauma. Akua aims to support and empower individuals and communities to access and create health and well being resources.
Alicia Ellis, LPC/MHSP, MS, Ph.D
Dr. Alicia M. Ellis (LPC/MHSP), MS, Ph.D in Counselor Education & Supervision. Dr. Alicia has more than 15 years of experience in social services and mental health. She currently serves the community in private practice (Alicia Ellis Counseling & Consulting) and as the Clinical Director of a local trauma-informed non-profit agency. Her practice focuses on providing Healing & Hope in the areas of sex therapy, trauma processing, marital, pre-marital, and couples counseling. In addition, Dr. Alicia serves as a gatekeeper to the profession by providing supervision to up and coming counseling students and post-graduate professionals seeking the LPC/MHSP license.
