Akua is a public health professional who has experience working in maternal health, sexual violence, and with non-profit organizations. She is passionate about further understanding the systematic barriers of resources to individuals and communities who have experienced forms of trauma. Akua aims to support and empower individuals and communities to access and create health and well being resources.
Alicia Ellis, LPC/MHSP, MS, Ph.D
Dr. Alicia M. Ellis (LPC/MHSP), MS, Ph.D in Counselor Education & Supervision. Dr. Alicia has more than 15 years of experience in social services and mental health. She currently serves the community in private practice (Alicia Ellis Counseling & Consulting) and as the Clinical Director of a local trauma-informed non-profit agency. Her practice focuses on providing Healing & Hope in the areas of sex therapy, trauma processing, marital, pre-marital, and couples counseling. In addition, Dr. Alicia serves as a gatekeeper to the profession by providing supervision to up and coming counseling students and post-graduate professionals seeking the LPC/MHSP license.
