About the Event
Brooke Faught, DNP, WHNP-BC, IF will discuss how sexual medicine continues to advance in knowledge, awareness and treatment options, although women’s sexual health remains elusive. Female sexual dysfunction (FSD) is a highly prevalent, yet underreported, condition. This talk will cover updates in women’s sexual health including new and experimental treatments for FSD.
1. Understand the type and prevalence of sexual disorders in women .
2. Feel confident initiating sensitive conversations about sexual health.
3. Know when and how to prescribe appropriate treatment options or refer out to an appropriate provider for women with FSD .
Ms. Faught is a board certified, women’s-health nurse practitioner with specialty training in female sexual medicine and vulvoscopy. She completed her undergraduate training at The Ohio State University, her MSN at the University of Pennsylvania and her DNP at Vanderbilt University. In 2005, Ms. Faught developed and implemented the Women's Institute for Sexual Health (WISH) as a division of Urology Associates in Nashville, Tennessee. She currently functions as the Clinical Director of WISH. She has been a member of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) since 2005. In 2012, she gained designation as a Fellow of ISSWSH and she currently serves as the Fellowship Committee Chair on the ISSWSH Board of Directors. She also served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH) from 2011 to 2017 including two years as Treasurer. In addition to frequent national lectures, publications and media spots, Ms. Faught serves as faculty and planning committee member for the annual NPWH/ISSWSH Sexual Health and Vulvoscopy Course for Nurse Practitioners.

Lunch and a Certificate of Attendance will be provided for attendees. Varying accrediting bodies allow for the certificate to be used as a CEU. Participants are responsible for knowing accrediting organization’s continuing education standards.
All trainings are eligible for 1 continuing education unit with The American Association for Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists.
