About the Event

As an interdisciplinary team, we have an obligation to make sexuality and intimacy with self and others understood, accessible, and safe to people of all backgrounds, identities, preferences, and abilities, if desired. This presentation will highlight occupational therapy practitioners' role in neurodiverse relational and sexual health by reducing stigma and increasing safety, the capacity to consent, empowered pleasure, and more!

By the end of this presentation, participants will be able to distinguish similarities and differences between neurotypical and neurodiverse relational and sexual health education in order to to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to make and manage relationships of all kinds in the ways that they choose.
