About the Event

In the medical community, surgery is a common procedure performed by the majority of specialists. However, most are unaware of how that surgical impact will have on that person's self image and sexuality.  During this presentation, we will look at the major surgical interventions that have the largest impact on sexuality, sexual functioning, and sexual self esteem.

Objectives:

1) Review the surgical interventions that cause the largest sexual health concerns postoperatively.

2) Discuss the sexual side effects of those surgical interventions.

3) List treatment options and therapies that can be discussed with those patients/clients undergoing surgical interventions.
