About the Event

Our Whole Lives (OWL) is a comprehensive sexuality education curriculum, developed jointly by the Unitarian Universalist (UU) Association and the United Church of Christ (UCC). Though OWL’s roots are steeped in faith, the curriculum stands on its own as secular, allowing for easy adaptation; UU/UCC values are integrated via companion manuals. Lessons using age-appropriate language start in Kindergarten and go all the way up to the new (release pending) manual for Adults 55+. Join us to learn more about this remarkable sexuality education curriculum, and why Our Whole Lives might be a valuable addition to your professional toolbox.

Presenter Bio: Jonah Eller-Isaacs is the Religious Education Coordinator for the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashville, where he manages OWL programs for all ages. Sexuality education based in fact, not fear or misinformation, is so desperately needed in Tennessee, and Jonah considers it his sacred calling to facilitate OWL programs and to teach that all bodies are holy and good, all sexualities are holy and good, and all genders are holy and good – that you are holy and good. Jonah is a member of the Board of TNASH (TN Alliance for Sexual Health), President of the Board of contemporary-aerial dance company FALL, an accomplished writer with multiple cover stories for local arts and culture magazine NATIVE, and later this summer, Jonah will become a certified Tennessee Naturalist.
